HUB’s Financial Transparency Policy

As a member owned company, Humanity Unites Brilliance is committed to providing all of members and the public with complete financial transparency.  It is with that commitment that we are sharing with you our 2008 financial statement.  As an ongoing corporate policy, HUB will publish each year’s financial statements by June 30th of the following year.  This allows our accountants and financial team time to review and prepare our year end financials with completed paperwork with our non-profit and organizations gifting programs.

As you will see from the following financial report, in our first year of operations we had categorized expenses of just over $1,064,000 between Humanitarian Programs and Management Fees paid to principals in the company.  Due to the fact that we are a Limited Liability Company, these amounts are being recategorized to reflect the fact that they are truly not expenses and have been allocated from pre-tax, net profits.  Obviously this is important for determining both our annual profitability as well as the corresponding profit sharing and income tax liabilities of the owners of the company.

This led to first year profitability of just under $1,000,000 of which over $441,000 was donated to our impact partners based on our membership revenues for 2008 of just over $1,000,000.  In addition, over $400,000 in charitable contributions was raised for our impact partners in 2008 from our members and guests of our live events.

This also led to total equity payments made to the owners of $618,350 which were allocated based on the individual involvement levels of each of the owners.  As we move forward and transfer capital units to our members as well as outside investors, our net profitability will be calculated according to this same formula thereby ensuring that investors receive ample incentive for participating at this stage in our development.

The profitability of HUB's unique financial model to provide sustained funding to Impact Partners is based on a minimum of 10,000 members each paying $99 per month. Until HUB reaches this minimum membership requirement, Impact allocations are made in amounts and at intervals according to our agreements with each individual Impact Partner. A yearly financial report of allocations made to each partner is available to the public on our website by June of the following year to allow for proper accounting for all parties involved.

Indirectly Funded Impact Programs

In addition to the funds that HUB sends directly to our humanitarian impact partners, we help generate donations from our members to important local social works through our HUB Give Big program as well as International ecostainment programs.

HUB is proud to have generated $278,829.00 in donations on June 21, 2008, from our members and event guests for the vital environmental protection work being done by the Pachamama Alliance, helping preserve "the lungs of our world" in the South American rain forest of Ecuador.

HUB Gives Big
As part of our outreach in cities across the United States and Canada, HUB members are involved in their own city wide programs called HUB Gives Big. Several local families in need are selected and HUB Gives Big provides an opportunity for attendees to become involved in humanitarian aid. Attendees outreach to friends and the local community to request donations of cash, and goods and services to cover local families' immediate needs.

As of 11/21/08, we have completed HUB Gives Big events in 3 cities impacting a total of 9 families with support in cash and donations totaling a value of $125,477.81.

Total value of cash and pledges generated by HUB Gives BIG = $125,477.81
